Selective Memory
A few days ago I was diagnosed with selective memory syndrome. The symptoms are very common:
- I forget that I ate but I remember that I am hungry.
- I don’t remember eating cookies but I can’t forget their taste.
- I don’t recall stealing socks but I can’t shake the uncomfortable feeling when a few loose socks are found under my mattress.
- At times, I even forget my name. Especially if the name is used in phrases containing No, Don’t do it or Stop.
- I also truly believe that all vacuum cleaners are monsters.
My frank opinion is – it has absolutely nothing to do with any kind of syndrome, I just exercise the right to choose what I want to remember.
