Kids to Men

Last week I visited a wonderful friend who happened to have two fantastic boys for kids. We had a lovely play time until the little one decided to throw a toy of significant weight on my head. That’s when the fun was over. Later this week I got to thinking about the behavioral similarities between men and kids regarding women and dogs, respectively. I was able to detect some parallels:

  • They want you because they can’t have you: Mom, can I have a dog? No.
  • They are very persistent when they want you: Mom, I’d do anything you ask if I could have a dog!
  • Once they have you, they don’t know what to do with you: Mom, what is this dog barking about?
  • Once they know what to do with you, they don’t want to do it: Mom, could you please walk the dog?
